Now that we have cleaned up thoroughly, we could take care of them a little because we tend to forget them. However, they support all our weight and we put them to the test all day long.

Taking care of your feet is easy, especially since a few old-fashioned methods that are as economical as they are natural have largely proven their worth over time.

Basic care

To begin with, we take foot baths as often as possible because they relax and regenerate. The simplest, and undoubtedly one of the most effective, is prepared by throwing 500 g of coarse gray salt (untreated) and 8 tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate in a basin filled with lukewarm water. Soak feet and ankles for at least ten minutes, dry, and take the time to lie down, legs as raised as possible (minimum five minutes), leaning against a wall (unless you take the opportunity to build your stomach!).

Every day, after a shower or a bath, summer and winter, we take three minutes to massage them with sweet almond oil or other vegetable oil. It is a real guarantee of comfort, and in addition it improves circulation.

Info alert. We always start a massage with the left foot and going up to the knees (no back and forth, always from bottom to top).

Exfoliate

To find or keep satin feet, to promote the removal of dead cells and make the skin more supple, we pour a little baking soda or unrefined coarse salt in the palm of the hand. Add a few drops of lemon then rub gently, in circular motions and insisting on the plant. Finally, we rinse and hydrate with a dab of cream or a few drops of vegetable oil (spreading yourself is useless because if you put too much, it does not penetrate).

Horn

In the bath or in the shower, when the horn has softened a little, we take the good old pumice stone because it provides many services to our feet. Then we massage with a few drops of olive oil, and that’s it! If it is too thick and cracks: before going to bed, massage the feet for a long time with a few drops of olive oil, insisting on the heels. Then we put on cotton socks and sleep with them! Well, okay, this is completely a “cure for love”, but, I assure you that after a few days, all the horn, if unsightly, will be easily removed with a pumice stone. So today is foot care?
